IT’S AUGUST ALREADY? Holy Fuzzface? How did that happen? Well time flies when you’re having fun and although the weather in the Northeast has been a little less than cooperative, it’s still been a great summer. We took in some good music at Grey Fox, saw Springsteen, Crooked Still, The Steeldrivers along with some good local music. Never seems to be enough time to get to do the many things on the ole’ list.

Not only is it August already but it is the 40th Anniversary of one of the most iconoclastic music gatherings ever assembled. 40 years ago this month, Woodstock rocked the 60′s unlike anything the world had ever seen. The toughest thing to put into perspective at this point in time is what America was like at that time. Mass media didn’t move at light speed. There was no Intertube. There were no Podcasts. TV and newspapers did their best to cover Woodstock in a fair and balanced way at a time when conservative was more than a political position. It was a lifestyle and most of America was ensonced in it. But clearly, pictures on the front page of the Times couldn’t do it justice. The Movie certainly gave you more clarity. This month, in honor of Woodstock, we’ve amassed some of the guitars (not the originals but fine, honorable instruments that will remind us of days gone by) used at Woodstock. Take a peek….
