Directors Diatribe – March 2010

I really don’t want to vent here but it’s winter in Vermont and for some reason everyone on the Eastern shoreboard has more more snow than we do! I suppose there are worse things to be upset about and I know I shouldn’t be envious. I suppose it would be more appropriate to have G.A.S. envy than snow envy but that’s what Gbase is for, right?

This month in the Gearhead Gazette, we’ve got BLVD Music located in South Carolina, Boiling Springs, SC in fact. Read up on what they’ve got going on – they’re on the hot trail of a guitar collection. Who knows what they’ll turn up next.

In our Tips and Tone column, John LeVan is showing us how to build our very own custom guitar. Something I’ve always wanted to do. Well, I did build two of them previously. Neither of them is quite as nice as what John will walk you through but it’s a hellava lot of fun to do and if you’re lucky, it’ll play just like it’s meant to do.
