Thank you 😊 for this one Ms.B. To be honest I don’t know how to do scales, but it’s always good to learn new things. Most of the time I just use my ears when I play some ukulele licks. ✌🏻&❀️

  2. Karen Carrafa

Bernadette can you make a video teaching how to play "i'm with you" by Vance Joy?! I didn't find a tutorial to ukulele, and i want to learn, please! ❀❀❀

  3. Scott Samuelson

C to C and back to C! Have been using this as a warm up when ever I pick up the ukulele! Thanks Mrs. B!

  6. CC Mi

Oh at last. We got scales now. A long awaited lesson from you. Thank you.
Already know this but not every single chord used on C major scale.
Now I just need to remember that. But can I use this pattern on other chords?

I hope to learn this kind of lesson every week. I'm ready for the next level.
I'm so excited. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ Thank you Mrs. Bernadette.

Scales is actually something from my music lessons I definitely still remember (just like reading music) but I didn't know where on the ukulele to play all the notes. I'm actually still learning that part on the guitar (again!) too, my guitar book actually has a pretty comprehensive guide to it but I'm just so bad at remembering these days πŸ˜… Thanks for this great walk-through!

And that is a very pretty dress!

  8. Marie S

I feel like I come out of these videos with so much more knowledge – thank you!
P.s. your makeup looks incredible πŸ’›

  9. Maxi Liebold

    Hi I've a question.
I've seen your video about the right ukulele and i want to ask you wich is the right one for me. I want to start playing the ukulele and don't know wich one. But i think either a tenor or a concert. Do you know a good ukulele for me? πŸ™‚

  10. ARC 110

Have finished my homework, so no comment…. except to say thanks, I shall learn. πŸ˜€πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜»πŸ™Œ

  11. Jay Liebenberg

What uke(besides this one)do u recommend that looks really nice and isn’t too expensive? I’ve been saving money lately and want to know all of my choices. I’ve been looking at the kala pacific walnut concert uke but it’s more expensive cuz it has a built in tuner

  12. Hanby

I already knew this Scale from a book. But i like that you are starting to do these kinds of exercises! Playing along to Songs is fun and all but i really like learning/practicing other "Ukulele skills" as well πŸ™‚

  13. Jennifer Carmo

That is great Bernadette! Thank you for that! Will definitely be practicing it! Please more scales! 😘

  14. Clarke Hylton

Learned to play scales early while taking piano decades ago. Good to start learning how now on the uke. Thanks!

  15. ohmy FLY

God you are so beautiful 😍
Nice tutorial, but why are we not going for open G instead we go on 3rd fret, C string?
By the way very nice tutorial, but can you make information video about which scales are available their use and how they are made using musical theory and how to play song using scales.
    😜 I am so demanding.

  16. Steve Harris

Great Lesson Bernadette !!!!!!!!!))) I know a few cords but no scales yet!!!)) Thanks!!!!)))πŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸŽˆπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜Š

Hi!! You have inspired me to buy my first ukulele next week and it’s gonna be a concert size. Which do you think has better sound, koa or mahogany?? Love your vids!! ❀️❀️

  18. Ronnie Ball

I feel so far ahead today because I've been playing this scale as a warm-up most days just after I make sure my ukulele is tuned! This is a really good video because it makes everything nice and clear.

  19. Melinda Eliza Sabo

As a kid I learned to play the piano with endless hours of scales. I hated it at first, but then I learned to love it. I’m new to ukulele and practicing with this just feels like home. 🎢 More like this, please! 🎢

  20. colin uk

hellooooo. As always I cut my toe nails to help me play the ukulele just as you teach. thank-you for the pause in the video, that gave me time to put a bandage on my foot to stop the bleeding! πŸ€’ C
