My very dear friend Dick Boak has recently retired from The Martin Guitar Company after more than forty-one years, and he has been a tremendous help to me in so many ways over the years, never asking for anything in return. Dick wrote five books about Martin and played a major role in promoting the guitars and Martin’s amazing history. He was the official company historian and organized the vast archives from their 185-year history (which is a LOT of stuff), and managed their fantastic museum at their factory in Nazareth, PA. Dick also created and ran Martin’s Artist Relations program, designing the special limited edition guitars that honored more than a hundred world-famous musicians. Dick is also a wonderful artist and illustrator, has been all his life, and so when the opportunity arose for him to present a show of his work here in New York City, I was happy to give him and his mentor, Tullio Desantis, the entirety of my store for a few weeks now that I have closed the retail side of my business.

We are pleased to announce an exhibition of
